“Most Big Organizations Are Too Sluggish To Copy Us Quickly Enough,” Says Gawker's Nick Denton
At this year's IGNITION Conference in New York City, Gawker's Nick Denton said that “Most big organizations are too sluggish to copy us quickly enough.”
However, he notes that Business Insider is pretty fast about it.
Denton said that Gawker has done well – and garnered two million unique visitors – by pushing scoops and exclusives. “We can capture this by shocking stories,” he said. “The price you pay is people know you by those stories. Our sites have a much wider array of material that gets lost in that material.”
