Gawker's Nick Denton: “Our Place Is To Be Naughty, Controversial, Free”

During an interview at the 2010 IGNITION Conference in New York City, Gawker's Nick Denton said that while he was not unhappy with Murdoch's paywalls, he was not going to do it himself.

“Our place is to be naughty, controversial, free, available through Facebook,” he said. “Some organizations have legacy costs and they will need to go in a subscription direction.”
