IDEX Corp. (IEX) $37 Million Profit Beats Estimates

IDEX Corporation (NYSE: IEX) released financial results on Monday morning that beat Wall Street forecasts.

IDEX Corp. reported that its 1st quarter earnings jumped to $37 million, or 45 cents per share, up from $23 million, or 28 cents per share, a year earlier.

Sales at IDEX Corp. climbed to $356 million, up from $327 million a year earlier.

Excluding items, earnings came in at 46 cents per share.

A poll of analysts by FactSet Research showed an average forecast of earnings of 41 cents per share.

Although shares of IDEX Corp. rose in early Monday trading above yesterday's close of $34.14, they soon after fell. Shares were trading at $33.97 as of 10:43 AM.
