Ivanka Trump Denounces Fake Crypto Coin Using Her Name

Ivanka Trump on Thursday publicly disavowed any connection to a cryptocurrency meme coin being promoted under her name, issuing a strong warning to consumers against falling prey to fraud.

In a tweet, she stated unequivocally that she had no involvement in the so-called "Ivanka Trump" or "$IVANKA" coin and criticized the use of her name and likeness without consent.

"To be clear: I have no involvement with this coin," she wrote. "This fake coin risks deceiving consumers and defrauding them of their hard-earned money, and the unauthorized use of my name and likeness is a violation of my rights."

Trump also indicated that her legal team is reviewing the situation and will take measures to stop the misuse of her identity. "This promotion is deceptive, exploitative, and unacceptable," she added.

This controversy comes amid heightened public interest in cryptocurrency following the launch of meme coins associated with the Trump family.

Last week, president Donald Trump‘s team launched a meme coin named after himself, Trump (CRYPTO: TRUMP), on the Solana (CRYPTO: SOL) blockchain.

The coin garnered immediate attention, with trading volumes skyrocketing to over $47 billion on the day of its debut.

Despite initial enthusiasm, TRUMP faced sharp price fluctuations, dropping nearly 30% during Trump's inauguration speech before recovering some losses.

Shortly after, Melania Trump launched her own token, Melania (CRYPTO: MELANIA), which experienced significant volatility as well.

Initially surging by almost 40%, the token's value later plummeted, echoing the speculative nature of meme coins in the market.

These projects, while criticized for their speculative appeal, have sparked debates about the role of high-profile individuals in legitimizing or discrediting the broader cryptocurrency industry.
