Soybeans Higher

Market chatter that numerous estimates are coming out for the planting season will keep traders active on both sides. Soybeans are slightly higher during overnight trading. May Soybeans are trading at 994 1/2, up 1 3/4 cents. May Soybean Oil is trading at 31.01. May Soymeal is trading at 334.2, up 0.9.

There is talk about producer protests in Argentina and trucker issues in Brazil. Market talk that reported cases of avian flu in Arkansas and the other cases in a few other states could have impact if it spreads is making the rounds. Taiwan, Singapore and Nicaragua have already been banned poultry from Minnesota, Missouri and California. Market talk that impacts are on feed consumption and poultry exports, which could depress livestock prices, is making the rounds.

Chatter that export sales due out today are likely to be a non-event.
