S&P 500 Index Futures Trading Lower In Volatile Session

S&P 500 index futures were trading lower by 7 points at 2094 in Friday's session. The index has recovered from a steep decline off the open that breached the major support at 2091.25, trading down to 2083.50 before reversing course.

The top 10 components in the index are mixed with three issues in the green and seven in the red. Leading the way on the upside is Wells Fargo (NYSE: WFC), which was trading higher by $0.71 at $56.85.

The biggest loser is Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: JNJ), which was trading lower by $0.52 at $98.71. Earlier in the session, it traded down to $98.20, which represents its lowest level since it bottomed on April 4 at $98.04.

The SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (NYSE: SPY) traded at $210.05, down $0.22.
