CNBC's News Anchor Mark Haines Dies

Mark Haines was a news anchor on CNBC. He had worked with CNBC since the inception of Squawk on the Street.

Haines co-hosted Squawk on the Street with Erin Burnett, who has since moved on to CNN. May 6th, 2011 was Burnett's last show with Haines.

Haines also appeared on a financial segment prior to the market open each day on MSNBC's Morning Joe. Haines was also reporting on television on the morning of September 11th, 2001. Haines was raised in New York and had a home in nearby New Jersey.

Haines tragically passed away at the age of 65 today.
