Curb Your Enthusiasm: Larry David's Show Is Returning To HBO
After a five-year wait, fans won't be able to curb their enthusiasm: HBO’s hit comedy "Curb Your Enthusiasm" is coming back.
For those unfamiliar, this was a TV series created by "Seinfeld" co-creator Larry David that ran for eight seasons until 2011. While Time Warner Inc (NYSE: TWX)’s HBO didn't say when the ninth season of "Curb" would begin shooting or when it would air, the premium cable channel operator assured its longest-running scripted drama or comedy series is coming back with all-new episodes.
The show has received a total of seven nominations for the Emmy Awards fo Outstanding Comedy Series, and managed to win the Golden Globe for Best Comedy back in 2002.
In a statement, David said, “In the immortal words of Julius Caesar, 'I left, I did nothing, I returned.'"
Casey Bloys, HBO's new president of programming who took over about a month ago, added, "We're thrilled that Larry has decided to do a new season of Curb and can't wait to see what he has planned."
Shares of Time Warner lost 0.51 percent on Tuesday.
