Elon Musk's X Agrees To Discuss Settlement Over Severance Pay Claims With Former Twitter Employees
Elon Musk‘s X Corp. is set to negotiate a possible settlement over the claims made by thousands of former Twitter employees (now known as X) who allege they were denied severance pay, Bloomberg News reported.
A memo by Shannon Liss-Riordan, the lawyer representing the former employees, revealed that X Corp. agreed to mediation after a 10-month legal battle. The company, previously known as Twitter, has faced multiple legal suits for various labor and workplace violations, including the failure to pay severance to thousands of employees sacked after Musk’s acquisition of the social media platform.

Almost 2,000 ex-Twitter staff have turned to arbitration to fight their claims, as insisted upon by the company. However, there have been complaints that Twitter has not attended these sessions. The private mediation talks are scheduled for Dec.1 and 2.
X Corp. has not yet responded to requests for comments on the matter.
