Rumored Release Of 2 New Google Smartwatches
Referring to a reliable source, Android Police wrote about two new Android Wear Devices, rumored to be in a process of prototyping by Google (Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ: GOOG) (NASDAQ: GOOGL)) and due to be released some time after the latest Nexus phone is announced.
The first watch is said to be larger, sportier with LTE, GPS and heart rate features, while the second will be smaller with only a GPS feature.
Referring to the first watch, code named "Angelfish," Android Police said it resembles the current Moto 360 and LG's Urbane second edition LTE. The design has visible lugs, with a smooth housing shape that curves where the watch band meets the body.
The second device, code named "Swordfish," is similar to Pebble Time Round, but lacking the massive screen bezel. It has a single button centered on the right-hand side of the body, with a more delicate and Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL)'s Apple Watch-like design.
Both watches are rumored to have a full circular displays, rather than "flat tires."
Android Police surmised the situation, "We give this rumor a confidence level of 9 out of 10. We are extremely confident Google is in the process of prototyping these in-house Wear devices, and have confirmation of their existence from multiple sources."
